Panel removal and woodwork commences (Part 2)

The work on CRG163’s outer panel woodwork continues with the original panels as found yesterday (16.01.25) being sanded for inspection.

Sion very meticulous in his removal of panels.

Me working on existing screws holding the bright work in place.

Two original panels with lighting apertures side by side.  Panel three and four, nearside from front.

CRG163 with panels and rotten woodwork removed.

Both original panels found so far from 1970 completely sanded for inspection.  They are in very good shape!

Second panel set from the nearside front of CRG163 which appears to be double panelled again in the same way as set three and four which unveiled the original panels from 1970. We look forward to tomorrow to see if this is the case.

CRG163 woodwork is taking shape with new wood added.

Getting dark but we carry on.

It may be getting dark but we carry on with the work.

Sion may be a friend, but what a carpenter and panelist.  So meticulous in his work.  Highly recommended in every way.  If you have any work that is needed, contact Sion via the above or click on the following link: www.Bit.ly/sionlloyd
