Bodywork Session 2 - Day 2 - Panel woodwork continues …..

Day two of our second session.

Panels and rotten woodwork are removed on CRG163’s offside.  We suffer a bit of a set back though as we find the metal collar around the fuel cap is not in the best shape.  It is therefore removed and sent immediately for re fabrication, to be return next week.

Panels begin to be removed.

The largest offside panel is removed slowly.  It also includes the fuel cap aperture and collar and beadings.

We have a set back as quickly it is found that the fuel cap collar has deteriorated and will only cause future issues if left alone.

After a lot of work the fuel cap beadings and collar is removed.

The fuel cap collar following removal.  A quick phone call and a short drive and arrangements are made to have the unit re fabricated for pick up sometime during next week.

Hopefully the worst photograph of CRG163 as side panels and rotten woodwork work is removed in preparation for new woodwork and panel reassembly tomorrow.

CRG163’s original offside original panels are sanded down in preparation for primer and re-fitment.

Two original offside panels are now ready for primer before being refitted.
