Rydym yn dioddef colled enbyd
Yn anffodus yn hwyr neithiwr fe gollwyd y dyn arbennig iawn hwn ar ôl salwch byr. Tad, Tad-yng-nghyfraith a Thaid ardderchog. Diolch yn fawr iawn am bopeth. Hoffem fel teulu ddiolch i bawb sydd wedi cysylltu â ni yn barod i gynnig eu cydymdeimlad. Fydd y byd byth yr un peth hebddot ti. 💔
Ganed fy Nhad/Taid ar 15 Ebrill, 1946. Roedd yn fab i Lily Lloyd Jones a Richard Lloyd Jones ac yn frawd i Glyn Lloyd Jones.
Yn ei waith roedd fy Nhad a'i Dad (fy Nhaid) yn rhedeg busnes adeiladu ac angladdwyr ym Mlaenau Ffestiniog o'r enw R Lloyd Jones a'i Fab. Roedd y ddau yn falch iawn o’r safon uchel o waith a gwasanaeth a ddarparwyd ganddynt.
Wrth i CRG163 ddod yn rhan o’n teulu ni yn 2002 roedd fy Nhad yn gefnogol iawn. Treuliwyd llawer o amser yn ailadeiladu loceri ochr a sandio'r cerbyd i'w beintio yn ogystal â phethau eraill. Roedd cysylltiad fy Nhad â CRG163 yn ymestyn o 2002 i 2025, dros 23 mlynedd.
Roedd fy Nhad yn meddwl yn fawr iawn ohonom fel teulu, yn enwedig o'i falchder dros ein bechgyn Ioan a Gethin ei wyrion a fy ngwraig Nia ei ferch yng nghyfraith.
Mae hyn yn golled enfawr i ni fel teulu ac yn enwedig fel i ni ddod yn ein blaen yn dda gydag ail adferiad CRG163. Roedd hefyd yn falch o'r llyfr sydd i ddod o'r enw 'Crosville in Liverpool' i'w gyhoeddi ym mis Gorffennaf. Diolch byth iddo weld y llyfr ar ffurf drafft yn ogystal â chlawr y llyfr.
Mae ein diolch a'n dyled fel teulu i'm Tad/Taid yn sylweddol ac mae’r gwagle ti’n ei adael ar dy ôl yn enfawr.
Dyma atgof byr isod o fy Nhad â CRG163 dros 23 mlynedd heb sôn am y llu o luniau sydd gennym ni’n bersonol dros y blynyddoedd fel teulu o gyfnod hapusach sydd heb eu cyhoeddi yn gyhoeddus.

We sufferer a devastating loss
Unfortunately late last night we lost this very special man after a short illness. An extremely wonderful Father, Father in-law and Grandfather, a great man. Thank you very much for everything. As a family we would like to thank everyone who has contacted us already to offer their condolences. The world will never be the same without you. 💔
My Father/Grandfather was born on 15 April, 1946. He was the son of Lily Lloyd Jones and Richard Lloyd Jones and brother of Glyn Lloyd Jones.
In his work my Father and his Father (my Grandfather) ran a family builders and funeral business in Blaenau Ffestiniog called R Lloyd Jones and Son. Both were very proud of the high quality and standard of work and service they provided.
As CRG163 became part of our family in 2002 my Father was very supportive. A great deal of time was spent rebuilding side lockers and sanding down the vehicle for painting as well as other things. My Dad’s involvement with CRG163 spanned from 2002 to 2025, over 23 years.
My Father thought very highly of us as a family, especially from his pride for our boys Ioan and Gethin his grandchildren and my wife Nia his daughter in law.
This is a huge loss to us as a family and especially as were progressing well with CRG163’s second restoration. He was also proud of the upcoming book titled 'Crosville in Liverpool' to be published in July. Thankfully he did see the book in draft format as well as the book’s cover.
Our thanks and debt as a family to my Dad/Taid (Grandad) are significant as the void you leave behind you is wide.
Here is a brief reminder of my Dad’s involvement with CRG163 spanning 23 years not to mention the many photos we personally hold over the years of happier times as a family which are not publicly published.

20 August 2024
On Tuesday 20 August 2004, my youngest son, my father and myself went to the former Crosville’s depot site on Edge Lane. A location CRG163 was based at between 1970 and 1979. This was a very special day as it was also a reunion and pilgrimage. My Dad not only came along, but also showed an interest in Crosville’s history in Liverpool and our upcoming book at has been written out of respect to Crosville in Liverpool.
